PLANNING AND ALLOCATIONS

The Planning Council is responsible for identifying and responding to community needs in the areas of health, welfare, Jewish education, and community engagement and outreach. To do so, it will assess community needs in light of current and projected social and demographic trends, explore unmet needs and make recommendations to the allocations committee on priority programs and services.

The Allocations Committee reviews applications from partner agencies, evaluates the program requests in light of community priorities and determines the social impact of funding new programs and continuing to support current programs. The Allocations committee works with Federation staff to evaluate the effectiveness of funded programs in relation to community need.
